The macho, handsome and brawny Daggupati Venkatesh (Venki) was born on 13th Dec 1960 at Karamchedu, Prakasam dt. He is a second son of the famous producer Dr.D.Rama Naidu.Brother Suresh Babu is a producer of high standard films.
Venki, after obtaining an M B A in the U.S., returned to look after the family business. But destiny willed otherwise and on the advice of his father, he took to acting.He made his debut with the film Kaliyuga Pandavulu in 1986.
The care he took from the beginning in choosing the stories is the main reason for his success as a top hero. He earned full marks as an actor with his early films, 'Prema', 'Brahma putrudu', 'Bobbili Raja' etc, in which he played distinctly different characters. His speciality lies in acting not only in commercial hits with mass appeal, but in playing the charecters that displayed his talent.Every body expects a Venkatesh film to have something new to it.
